Another (so far) happy Downtown Atlanta camper. I’ve lived Downtown since 1998, which makes me an old timer, although ha, I was only 24 when I moved. I lived at the Metropolitan for 3+ years and since 2001 have lived at the Healey. During that time, my longest commute has been my current one (MARTA to Emory) and my shortest, aside from working at home for 2 years, was Metropolitan-to-2-Peachtree (same block). There are lots of things I like about Downtown and lots of things I don’t like, but overall I wouldn’t move unless it was to another city entirely.
My wife, my son and I have moved into Atlanta’s historic Fairlie-Poplar neighborhood, as mentioned before. We’re officially residents of Downtown Atlanta and, even though we’re still getting over post-move craziness, we’re already enjoying the new place a lot. The view from our building is…
